Xesht, We That Are One — the Breachlord Sac and the Twisted Domain
Xesht, We That Are One is the Breach pinnacle boss. 0.5 replaced the route in entirely, so walking in with a Breachstone the way you used to accomplishes nothing.
If you haven’t read it yet, Pinnacle Bosses covers the overall 0.5 structure.
Breachstones are no longer the key
This is the first thing to correct. You used to gather Breach Splinters into a Breachstone and use that to enter Xesht. In 0.5 the Breachstone’s purpose changed — it now reveals Breach Strongholds on the Atlas.
No quantity of splinters will get you to Xesht by that route. Breachstones and splinters are covered in Breach Crafting.
The key — the Breachlord Sac
The key to Xesht is the Breachlord Sac, and the item text names its destination outright:
Locked within the unseen fabric lie the chains of power and control. Bring this to the Dreamer in the Monastery of the Keepers.
Per the official 0.5.0 patch notes, the key comes from a new pair of bosses in the Sky Fortresses:
Fortresses are a new area with a new pair of bosses, Tul and Esh. Defeating Tul and Esh will give you a key to access the existing Breach Pinnacle boss.
So you need to kill It That Was Tul and It That Was Esh. These Sky Fortresses are encounters inside Breach Strongholds, which means the practical flow is open a Stronghold with a Breachstone, then find the Sky Fortress inside. The Breachstone didn’t leave the picture — it moved one step earlier in the chain.
Some sources also list the Genesis Tree as a source of the Breachlord Sac, but that isn’t confirmed in official documentation, so it isn’t stated as fact here.
With the key in hand, go to the Monastery of the Keepers — the Breach hub added in 0.5 — and bring it to the Dreamer to open the way to the Twisted Domain.
Running the Twisted Domain
The Twisted Domain is area level 79 and structurally simple: a long, linear area, so there’s no navigation to worry about.
The thing that actually governs the run is the timer.
- There’s a Breach near the start of the area.
- Touching the Breach hand starts it expanding on a 45-second timer.
- Killing monsters adds time, with rare monsters contributing more.
- The Breach keeps expanding until it either reaches the boss arena or the timer runs out.
One detail worth knowing: whether the Breach completes or fails, that’s when the timer stops and every item accumulated from the Breach monsters you killed drops at once. So seeing no loot mid-run is normal — and conversely, leaving early forfeits all of it.
The final stretch of the area is Xesht’s arena.
Two things to keep in mind
- You neither gain nor lose experience in this area. Dying costs you no XP, so there’s little reason to play it overly safe.
- Breach monsters here do not drop Splinters. Don’t plan on farming splinters in the Domain — that’s what Breaches in regular maps are for.
The monster roster is all “It That…” names — It That Grasps, It That Watches, It That Hunts, and a dozen or so others.
Preparation
- Between the linear layout and the timer, this encounter is effectively a clear-speed check. If you can’t kill fast enough, the timer ends before the Breach reaches the arena.
- Prioritise rare monsters — they add more time.
