No Man's Sky

Items, currency, skill gems, and the passive tree — every bit of Path of Exile 2 in one place, searchable in Korean or English.

No Man's Sky drops you into a procedurally generated galaxy to gather resources, build bases, and upgrade ships. There is almost no prescribed route, which is freeing — and makes it genuinely hard to know what to do first. You set your own goals, so it's easy to drift early on.

Updates have also been frequent enough that a lot of what you find by searching is already out of date. Settlement management was redesigned wholesale in a recent update, the way you locate ruins changed so the old tool no longer works, and Activated Indium lost four-fifths of its value in a single patch — yet plenty of guides still call it the best income in the game.

A further problem specific to English-language sources: mod features get described as if they were in the base game, and AI-generated pages have invented facilities that do not exist. There is no merchant who buys your cooking, for instance — that comes from a mod.

Everything here has been re-checked against the current version. Where sources disagree we say so rather than picking one, and Korean terminology follows the translation shipped in the game itself.

The early sticking points are fairly predictable. Following this order gets you through the first few hours without floundering.

  1. 01 Getting started What to do, and in what order, during your first few hours.
  2. 02 Hazards and life support Staying alive first. Every planet threatens you differently.
  3. 03 Early resources Where Carbon, Oxygen, and Ferrite come from.
  4. 04 Base building basics Planting a base and keeping the power on — a common sticking point.

What we cover

We cover resource categories with refining and cooking recipes, ship and multi-tool types and classes, freighter and frigate operation, base building and power, running settlements, earning units and nanites, space combat, alien standing and language, and an expedition timeline.

Time-sensitive pages carry a date — anything that goes stale quickly, such as a running expedition, states when it was last checked at the top. If no expedition is currently open, we say so. Readers should be able to judge how fresh a page is for themselves.

We name the misinformation we correct — there is no merchant who buys cooking (a mod feature that spread as fact), there is no way to sell a ship, and Activated Indium cannot be duplicated. Each guide collects these "things that do not work" in one place.
